When to use this grid
This sheet is useful when a drawing, worksheet or measurement is specified in inches. Four squares make one inch.
Use metric graph paper when the source measurements are metric instead of converting the grid by eye.

3Measure the 100 mm check line.

Desktop
Open the PDF, choose Print in your PDF reader, select the matching paper size and 100% / Actual size.
iOS / iPadOS
Open PDF → Share → Save to Files. To print, use Share → Print; available controls depend on the app and printer.
Android
Open or download the PDF, then choose Menu → Print in your PDF reader. Check paper size and scaling.

How many squares make one inch?
Four adjacent squares span one inch when the PDF is printed at actual size.
Is this another name for quad paper?
Quad paper can mean square graph paper generally. This page is specifically for quarter-inch spacing.
Why is Letter the default?
Quarter-inch grids are commonly used with inch-based work, so the default pairs them with US Letter. A4 files are also provided.
